When you're limited with options, reach for my Chick-fil-A Keto guide to find an easy meal on the go.

Chick-fil-A has a long standing history of donating to anti-LGBT groups. As a gay man, it's not a chain that I choose to eat at, personally.

I also acknowledge that the restaurant is one of the most popular fast food joints in the United States. I debated including this guide in my collection, but knowledge is power.

By popular demand, I present the Chick-fil-A eating out guide with low carb menu options.

    Overview

    • For the most part, you'll want to avoid the bread on the sandwiches or wraps and the sugary beverages like sweet tea.
    • Choose low carb sauces with minimal amounts of sugar
    • Though they may be tempting, the chicken strips are not a good choice for Keto. An order will set you back a whopping 28 grams of carbs!
    • Avoid the entrée sized salads, such as the cobb salad with grilled chicken, as they contain nearly 30 grams of carbs. The salads can be modified to remove the higher carb ingredients, but the nutritional information is unknown.
    • While the original Chick-fil-A breaded patty (no bun) is a bit higher in carbs (10), it isn't completely out of question if you are comfortable consuming gluten. The original chicken nuggets are a suitable option, too.
    • Beware of the spicy chicken options as they have considerably higher carb counts.

What accounts for the carbs on the side salad? Itโ€™s almost as many as are in the original 8-count nuggets.

Carrots, croutons and tomatoes. Removing these will lower the count.

Are your carbs total or net?

If there is fiber in the item, it's listed. You just need to subtract the fiber from carbs for total.

For your low carb ordering option of 12 grilled nuggets, 2 zesty buffalo sauces and a Diet Coke you show is 8 net carbs but if you look at those items individually itโ€™s only 5 net carbs. You show 3 carbs for the 12 grilled nuggets and 1 carb per buffalo sauce and of course no carbs for the soda. Which calculation is correct or am I missing something? Not trying to be the negative Nancy pointing out โ€œerrorsโ€ just want to make sure I am calculating the carbs correctly. Iโ€™m enjoying looking at all your fast food low carb options and find your info super helpful.
