When I started following the Keto diet, fast food was one of the first things I *thought* had to go. Deep down, I knew that if I was going to make the ketogenic diet a sustainable lifestyle, it was going to have to include all of my favorites... and fast food is definitely a favorite in my book! In fact, I even worked at a Wendy's throughout my high school and college days -- and I can STILL enjoy a Baconator -- no bun, please!
To be honest, my keto fast food guides were created out of sheer convenience. I can't tell you how many times that I would try searching for a low carb fast food option, only to find myself lost in nutrition spreadsheets or incorrect food tracking entries.
At the end of the day, my goal is to make a low carb, Keto lifestyle sustainable and realistic. Naysayers telling you that fast food isn't Keto just isn't true. When you have the right information and make a few modifications, you can still stay on plan and enjoy the convenience! I always think back to one of my favorite TV personalities -- Tim Gunn from Project Runway -- "Make it work!"
